But talking about bikes, last year when I was winning all the races, people have explained me it was my bike. My RAM xc Race was the best bike and so, winning was easy. Well, when everybody tells you the same, you better believe them and so, instead of selling it, I kept it of course. But, same bike now isn’t bringing me anywhere?? Man, there is no other way: I am selling it! :)

RAM xc race L, not a winner anymore, so I will let it go for a soft price: 1375 euro Fixed fork 15 mm, xx groupset  and XO cranks, currently set as 1*10 direct mount 32T + 11-28 cassette, but will be sold with xx frontshifter, xtr fr derrie, spider for 2*10 and with xx 11-36 cassette.(so, you choose the setup cx/road or mtb) itchey wcs stem, Easton EC70 seatpost, SLR saddle, carbon bar Crest 1575gr wheels with rocket rons (+maxis mtb tires) The heavy slow bike is 7.5kg with pedals (sure, I will give mtb tires too, pedals not incuded).

Sure, maybe it wasn’t the bike, maybe it’s me… After the first race here in the park 3 weeks ago, I got real sick. Couldn’t move for a week and after that I was like a handicapped with only 1 lung spitting and coughing all the time. Even this week, I could ride, but that’s about it… So, this morning, I estimated my shape at 85%, so time to give it another shock, a race. I think it’s the best way to clear the rest of my lungs and it’s always fun to suffer .

But, the race was hard! From the start it was clear I had no power at all. I was getting to 6^th position thanks to some good corners, but once in the field, I couldn’t even keep up with the others, they were flying away. So, nothing to do but my best and I tried to get to a good trainingpace. Luckily that took me back to 4^th position, but no further. After 3 loops, I could see Szilard in front and so the game was on… The goal: to keep at least the same distance or even to try to get slowly closer. Yes, training is more fun if you have a goal… And, it worked, but only 1.5 loops further, I saw him suddenly slow down: his handlebar was loosening, damn… Nobody visible in front, pft, another 25min to go… And yep, they were hard. But ok, I guess I shouldn’t complain as 3^rd place still sounds ok, no? But with a good bike, that for sure would have been 1^st, 1min ahead of Pelikan, hahahaha.
